“Save Us Oh Lord!”
Scripture: Psalm 106:46

“Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, To give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.”
 
Devotion:
Today’s scripture focuses on Israel’s unfaithfulness to a faithful God. They rebelled against God repeatedly. God saved them repeatedly. Israel’s relationship with God is a great example of His love for us. God brought them out time and time again, and they mumbled, grumbled and disobeyed Him time and time again. They only showed gratitude and thanksgiving when confronted with impossible situations. How many times have we disobeyed God? Or did our own thing? And had to cry out to God, Lord, Save me? I don’t know about you, but prior to salvation and spiritual maturity there have been several times in my life where I failed to seek God or tried to do things on my own, and I found out really quickly that I needed God’s provision to save me from myself. I am so thankful if we willingly repent and cry out to God; He is faithful to hear us. I am so grateful that God’s love and power are stronger than anything that we endure in this life, and that He inhabits the praises of His people.  

Prayer:
Lord, we desire that You continually keep us. Help us trust you in every area of our lives. Deliver us from the temptation and lies of the enemy. Amen.
