“Forever Mercy”
Scripture: Psalm 136:1

“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
 
Devotion:
Psalm 136 is a beautiful song of gratitude, each line a reminder of God's unwavering goodness and love. The psalmist starts with a simple yet profound call to “give thanks.” This isn’t just an acknowledgment of what God has done, but a recognition of who He is — a good and loving God. The steadfastness of His love, emphasized in each verse, shows us that God’s love doesn’t falter or change.

In times of blessing and struggle, we can give thanks not because everything is perfect, but because we are held by a God who is perfect in love. This love isn’t temporary or conditional; it endures forever. Reflect on the moments in your life where God’s love was evident — even in unexpected ways.

Today, practice gratitude by writing down three things you’re thankful for. Let this act of reflection be a reminder of God’s enduring love in your life.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and the love that never fails. Remind me daily of Your enduring love and help me to keep a heart of gratitude. In every circumstance, let my response be thanksgiving, knowing that You are with me always. Amen.
