“Thank You!”
Scripture: Ephesians 5:20

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Devotion: 
We go through life making the best decisions we know how, based on what we know. However, there are times when we don’t and find ourselves in situations that are unfavorable. Most of us have regrets about these decisions, and wish we had done things differently. What if I told you that regardless of our personal beliefs, we are to give thanks to God? We tend to thank God for the good things that happen in our lives, but do we take time to thank Him for the challenges as well? Today’s text admonishes us to tell God thanks for ALL things. There’s a cliche that says, “All means all and that’s all, all means!” In other words, all means any and everything. When we thank God for all the things that happen in our lives, both good and bad, we realize that God is there no matter what, seeing us through. So the next time you feel a little indifferent about a situation in your life, give thanks to God, and watch your perspective change!

Prayer: 
We thank You Lord for Your grace and mercy and Your infinite wisdom. We appreciate You for ALWAYS being present in every situation we find ourselves whether good or bad. We ask that You continue to show Yourself strong on our behalf; that we learn the importance of giving thanks to You in all things, for all things, and through all things. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
