“Watch Out!”
Scripture: Acts 20:28 NIV

“Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”

Devotion:
The Bible says for us to watch as well as pray. We have to keep watch over ourselves, but especially over those who are a part of our leadership. We, as leaders, have a great responsibility to watch out and take care of those who are following us as we follow God. By us being overseers of God’s people, we must be led by the Holy Spirit, and protect the people of God. If we allow ourselves to forget this important responsibility, we are not only damaging our lives, but all of those who follow us. Shepherds are constantly watching and protecting, leading and guiding, and admonishing and loving their sheep, just as we should do with God’s people. He doesn’t play about His people so let’s make sure that we are led by His Spirit and we will never go wrong!

Prayer:
Amazing God, we appreciate Your goodness towards us. We desire to continually make sure that we are led by Your Spirit as we watch over ourselves and Your cherished people, which You purchased with Your own blood.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
