“He Is Always There”
Scripture: Psalm 145:18

“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.”

Devotion:
The old saints used to sing a song that said, “If you call on Jesus, He will answer prayer.” This is true to all believers. God is always there for us. In our time of trouble, in the good times, and worst times. We are assured through the Word of God, that the Lord is near to us when we call on Him.

Continuing in the vein of prayer, we know that our God is righteous in everything that He does. He is a kind and loving father. He meets our needs daily. It’s so good to know that He is always near to us who call on Him and that He hears our cries and rescues us. As we discussed on yesterday, if you are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or about to fall, you can always turn to God for help. He is a present help in the time of trouble. He is always standing by ready to lift us up and bear our burdens. All you have to do is call.

Remember, God wants to reveal Himself to His people and commune intimately through His Holy Spirit. If you listen to Him, He will. But, in order to hear Him and recognize His voice, you have to spend time in His presence and communicate with Him consistently.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for hearing our call and lifting us up. We are glad to know that You are never too busy to hear us and to step into our situation when we need You the most. Help us to always remember to call on You and to listen to Your voice. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
