“Prayer & Faith” 
Scripture: Mark 11:24-25

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

Devotion:
“Prayer is the key and faith unlocks the door.” Jesus is talking to His disciples in this text, letting them know that they can pray for anything. Isn’t it good to have the reassurance of our Heavenly Father, that when we pray and call on Him, that we can have what we are asking Him for? All we have to do is supply the faith and truly believe that He will do it.

We are just out of our annual Month of Prayer, and many of us have seen and witnessed the results of prayer and faith in God. While we are thanking and praising Him for what He has done, there may be someone who is yet waiting on a petition to be answered. Someone may feel as if their praying is in vain or as though God has not heard them. My brother or sister, I want to encourage you and charge your faith. The Word tells us that our prayers are sometimes not answered because “we ask amiss.” Meaning we may ask but we really may not believe that it can be done.

My friend, I want you to know that there is nothing too hard for our God to solve. As we are instructed in the scripture, pray and sincerely believe that God will do it, and He will do just what we ask Him for. Whether it be healing in our bodies, saving our loved ones, or even delivering us from something that seems impossible. Remember, God knows what we need and He stands ready, willing, and able to do what we need Him to do for us.

Lastly, as we are taught in verse 25, let us also take a self-inventory. If we have an ought or unresolved issues with someone, we have to forgive them and resolve those so that our prayers will not be hindered. As we often hear, God lets us participate in our own miracle and there is a part that we play in the process also.

Believer, be encouraged and don’t lose your faith in the Father.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for being our Heavenly Father and provider. We know that You are there in our time of need to save us and deliver us from our troubles. Help us to pray and believe in You when we ask You for anything. There is nothing too hard for You. We pray that You will help us also to forgive others, that our prayers will be answered. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
