“Promises Kept!” 
Scripture: Psalm 138:2 NLT

“I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.”

Devotion: 
When we think of the Name of Jesus and His unfailing love, it causes us to become emotional at times. He has such a way of working situations out and providing for His children that He amazes us with His goodness. We have no other choice but to “lay prostrate” or bow before Him and thank Him for NEVER giving up on us. As Pastor Samu-el often says, “Thinking is for thanking people.” As we think of His goodness, our worship becomes intimate because we know without a doubt that it was God who kept His promise of always remaining able and faithful to work out any situation we are faced with.

Not only that, but those promises, and ALL other promises made by our Father are backed by His Name. We know His Name has power to change things, when used effectively. The scripture said he swore by himself, for there was no one greater by whom he could swear (Hebrews 6:13). How amazing it is to know that we serve a God who keeps His promises and always has love that does not fail us! What magnificent promises!

Prayer:
Lord, we appreciate You and Your unfailing love. We are in awe of Your goodness and endeavor to continuously worship Your great name in Your holy temple. Please continue to send us gentle reminders that Your love is unfailing and ever faithful. We love You God, and am grateful that You are THE promise keeper! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
