“Arise and shine!”
Scripture: Isaiah 60:1

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”

Devotion:
The Prophet here addresses the Church of God and exhorts her to awake and arise from a state of darkness and mourning and enter into a state of light and happiness.
I often remind myself of what God did for me on the altar, almost 50 years ago. God gave me hope for the future.

David said it in Psalms 121:1–2 - "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. my help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." Proverbs 4:18 says "but the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."

Living for Jesus is the best way to go. I would urge everyone that is looking for a brighter day in the future to seek Jesus. As Isaiah has said, Arise shine, Jesus is here. Let’s go about our day knowing that Jesus is our best hope for tomorrow.

Prayer:
Lord keep us throughout this day. Help us to focus on you and you alone. Thank you Jesus for being with us throughout this day. Amen.
