"Salvation For All"
Scripture: Acts 10:42-43 (NKJV)

"And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission[a] of sins.”

Devotion:
In these verses, the Apostle Peter is speaking to Cornelius and his household, sharing the essential message of the Gospel. This moment is significant because it marks a pivotal point in the early church when the message of Jesus was explicitly extended to the Gentiles, demonstrating that salvation through Christ is available to all people, regardless of their background.

Peter emphasizes that Jesus commanded His followers to preach and testify about Him. This command is not limited to the apostles; it extends to all believers. We are all called to share the good news of Jesus Christ. This is a reminder that evangelism is not just a task for a few but a responsibility for every Christian. We are called to be witnesses of what Christ has done in our lives and to share that with others.

Peter declares that Jesus is appointed by God as the judge of both the living and the dead. This underscores the authority and lordship of Christ. Yet, Peter also points to the mercy of Christ, highlighting that through Him, forgiveness of sins is available to everyone who believes. It is a reminder that while Jesus is the judge, He is also our Savior, offering grace and forgiveness to all who come to Him in faith.

Peter stresses that all the prophets pointed to this truth: everyone who believes in Jesus receives forgiveness of sins through His name. This is the heart of the Gospel—the promise of forgiveness and reconciliation with God. No matter who we are or what we have done, this forgiveness is available to us through faith in Jesus. Receive and Share Forgiveness: If you are struggling with guilt or shame, take hold of the forgiveness offered in Jesus’ name. Then, think about how you can share this message of hope and forgiveness with others who need to hear it.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for the forgiveness You offer to everyone who believes in You. Help us to be faithful in sharing this good news with others, proclaiming Your name and Your salvation to all. May our lives reflect the grace and truth of Your Gospel. Amen.
