Walking in Faith

Scripture: Hebrews 11:5 - “5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

Devotion: Hebrews 11:5 tells us about Enoch, a man whose faith was so strong and pleasing to God that he did not experience death. This verse emphasizes the power of living a life of faith and the profound impact it can have on our relationship with God.

Can you imagine walking so closely with God that you avoid death. That’s the life a believer should desire to have. Even though we know we want to have the same experience as Enoch, but what we can experience is a life filled with peace, power, and love; which comes through Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the example of Enoch and his faithful walk with You. Help us to walk closely with You every day, seeking to please You in all that we do. Strengthen our faith and guide our steps, so that our lives may be a testament to Your love and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
 
Application: - Walk with God Daily: Enoch's faith was not a one-time act but a continuous walk with God. Spend time daily in prayer, reading Scripture, and seeking God's guidance. - Pleasing God: Consider your actions, thoughts, and attitudes. Strive to live in a way that pleases God, just as Enoch did. - Faith in Action: Enoch’s life was characterized by active faith. Look for ways to put your faith into action in your daily life.

Faith is not just about believing in God; it’s about walking with Him daily and pleasing Him with our lives.
