His Rest

Scripture: Hebrews 4:9 NLT
"9 So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God."

Devotion
What the law couldn’t do, Christ would do. This rest is found only in Christ and through what He did at the Cross. God wants us to enter into His rest.  It is having peace with God now and in eternal life.  We can have rest and peace in our daily life; rest from worry, stress, during our season of circumstances, trials and persecution.

When we study and apply the promises that God offers and do as He command, we can obtain that rest and peace right here on earth.  365 times the word of God tells us to fear not. We must learn to trust His every word that concerns our situation.  Fret not when the enemy comes in like a flood, trust God for He will raise up a standard against it.  Hold tight to what you learn for your life according to God’s word, for He is faithful and just to keep us from all hurt, harm, or danger.

Prayer
I pray as we study, fast, pray and obey God’s word, that we find that place of rest and peace that surpasses all our understand.  And that you find that place of rest and peace right here on earth and throughout all eternity. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
