“Beware of Liars”

Scripture: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” (2 Peter 2:1 KJV)

Devotional: 
Unfortunately, not everyone wants to or will be saved. Just as God has His chosen and elect people, the dirty rotten enemy has his. However, the major difference is from Genesis to Revelation, from heaven to the earth, from the very foundation of this world, the ending has never changed. Jesus rose with all power, with the power of life and death. God is always victorious! We win! Every knee shall bow, and every lying tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord! That means that even that old dirty, rotten, stinking, low down devil will have to confess the truth of God’s word. When we look around at all that’s happening in our country and other countries, we may get disheartened and sad. We may even shed a tear or two. Nevertheless, we can rest assured that we serve a God that has never lost a battle, and He will continue to get all the glory.

Prayer: 
Lord, help us use keen discernment and be aware of false teachers among us. Above all, help us seek to live a life that glorifies You. Amen
