Do it in Jesus Name

Col. 3:17
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Devotion:
I remember a song that I heard the saints sing when I was a child that said, “Whatever you do, do it in Jesus’ Name.” Another that comes to mind says, “In the name of Jesus, we have the victory. Tell me, who can stand before us when we call on that great name?”  As believers, we know there is power, salvation, healing, and deliverance in the name of Jesus. We are reminded in the scripture today, that whatever we do, we should do all in the name of Jesus. Not only that, but we should be thankful to God, our Heavenly Father by Him. God has given each of us access and power to use the name of Jesus Christ. No other name is given under Heaven where we can be saved. Let us all use the name of Jesus in our words and actions.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for giving us the power to call on Your great name. We know that there is nothing that we cannot do if we use the power of the name of Jesus. Help us to remember as we go about our daily occupations, to do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
