“Lift Him Up”
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
(John 12:32 KJV)
 
Devotional:
            Jesus was so transparent with the people concerning the purpose His father had sent Him to fulfill. He carried out that purpose from His birth, death, and resurrection. I truly believe that for the 33 years, He was alive, Jesus lived in and on purpose. The word of God lets us know that there are not enough books in the world to contain all the great miracles, signs, and wonders that Jesus performed. Today’s scripture finds Jesus telling the people just how He would die, and how He would yet live out His purpose by drawing everyone to Him through His redemptive crucifixion and resurrection. However, even though Jesus told them how He must be crucified and resurrected, some people still did not believe Him.

Can you imagine literally walking and talking with Jesus, and still not recognizing or even believing who He is? Yet, I will admit sometimes when I allow the cares of this life to weigh me down, I sometimes must remind myself just who Jesus is. All it takes is a moment for me, though, because Jesus has a successful, proven track record in my life. Jesus is Jehovah Jireh, my provider. Jesus is Jehovah Shalom, my peace. Jesus is Jehovah Nissi, my refuge. Jesus is Jehovah Rapha, my healer. Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Oh, how I love to call Your name, the more I call Him the better I feel. I could go on and on. I dare you to lift Him up today. The more you lift Him up, the closer He will draw unto you. As we Journey to Pentecost church family, let us lift Jesus up more than we lift our problems, our insecurities, our doubts, our wants, and our own desires. Lift Him Up!

Prayer:
Lord, I lift your name on high. Help me to always sing your praises and draw me nearer, nearer, nearer to thee each day. Amen.
