“Come Unto Me”
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
 Matthew 11:28-30

Devotional:
Life is full of heavy burdens, tragedies, hardships and headaches. But isn’t it great to know that we have a place to deposit all of the negative things going on in our lives. Jesus told us to come unto Him and He would give us rest. He also told us to follow His example and our souls would be at peace. Now notice, Jesus did not say, “I will remove the burdens from your life”. He said, “I will give you rest”, which means that He will do the hard part as long as we continue to study His Word, be good stewards, and to serve others – all the things He did while He was on the earth.

When we give it to Jesus, He will make it alright! Saints let’s follow Jesus’ example on this Road to Pentecost, you will find rest for your weary soul!

Prayer:
Father, thank you for taking on all my burdens. Help me to give everything over to You and allow You room to reign in my life.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
