Walk by Faith Not by Sight

2 Corinthians 5:7
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight:

Devotional:
What does it mean to walk by faith, not by sight?  I’m glad you asked.  If you can see where you are going, do you really need help to get there? No, you just keep it moving until you reach your destination. When you are walking by faith and not by sight; you are walking, knowing that God got you. As a child of God, sometimes you will go through things not knowing what to expect or what is waiting ahead of you.  Just like God told Abram in Genesis 12:1 – Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee.

First, you have to know the voice of The Lord and know if He sent you to it, He will be there to get you through it.  A faith walk is not a comfortable thing to do. You have to know that God is there with you throughout the entire journey.

When I first moved to Charlotte, things looked pretty good for me.  Three weeks later the bottom fell out from under me.  I knew God had sent me here, but I didn’t know the plans He had for me.  For the next two years, every step I took was a faith walk.  See, when you can’t see your way, and you really know God has you, all you have to do is hold on to His hand and keep walking.

As you go through out today, Recognize some of the things in your life where you had to walk by faith and not by sight. Once you're finished reflecting, Give God a High Praise for the Victories He's Won for you.

Prayer:
Father, we thank You for giving us the opportunity to rely on You in any situation we have.  Knowing that You love and care for us and that You want the best for us.  Help us to always remember that a walk of faith is really telling You that we trust you in everything we go through. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen
