Fully Armored

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Devotional:
I really enjoy watching medieval movies. Any movie with a sword, horse, and full body armor has my attention. There is one thing all of these medieval movies have in common; they never go to battle without their armor. Many of them remain in their armor all day, always prepared for battle. I wonder what it would be like for us if we remained in our armor all day every day. There wouldn’t be anything we couldn’t face through The Holy Spirit. When you’re ready, the enemy cannot get in. He might try, but he won't win. NEVER!

Paul, describes the armor we should have on and in our bodies at all times. The armor of God is; Truth, righteousness, gospel of peace, and faith. When we have these for pieces of armor we’ll be prepared to stand up to the wiles of the enemy. How do you put these four armors on? By studying the word of God. Study the Bible so you’ll know how and when to apply each of these armors. In the medieval movies, the soldiers know when to strike and when to pull back. They know when to cover their face with the shield and when to kick the horse to run. Study the word of God, so you’ll know how to apply the armor you’re carrying.

As you go through day 13, of your Daniel Fast, make time to study how to apply the armor of God, Bible Knowledge. Truth, righteousness, gospel of peace, and faith.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for equipping me with the armor I need to fight the enemy. I know it’s in Your Word that I will find the tools needed to win every battle. In Jesus' name, Amen.
