All to the Glory of God

I Corin. 10:30-33
30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Devotional:
How many times have you heard people talk about what type of meat they don’t eat? They will tell you they don’t eat pork, they don’t eat beef, they don’t eat Tilapia, and certainly not that nasty chicken. Food and its origin have become a big topic in America. It’s either vegan, plant based, and I can’t believe it’s not meat based. At the end of the day, does it really matter to God? I don’t believe so.

In this scripture, Paul is telling the church folk, once again, to stop having these religious conversations about the right and wrong of another person’s life. You see, the Church folk were making such a big issue about eating meat, where it came from, whose house we gonna eat at and, and who cooked it food. If it didn’t come from big mama’s house, then we ain’t eating it. :)  Paul was like, “come on now Saints, why are you making what is a problem for you become a problem for everyone! Have you forgotten that the earth is the Lord’s and fullness thereof ?"(b) I Cor. 10:25.

The Lord is not concerned with such trivia things. His focus is building the Kingdom of God.
Paul’s message to the church was this. It doesn’t matter what you eat, or drink just make sure whatever it is, God is getting the glory out of it. Paul took no credit for his life nor for what he did for The Lord. Every sacrifice he made was so that God could be glorified.

As you go through day eleven of your Daniel fast, let your focus be on how God is being glorified through your sacrifice and not how much meat you've had to give up or the  weight you’re losing because of your sacrifice. Remember, there are no personal profits, just the profit of many that they may be saved.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for helping me understand that everything I do is for Your glory and not for my personal gain. My desire is to please You in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
