The Big Pay Back

Jeremiah 30:16-17
16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.  17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

Devotional:
“Talk about me all you please, the more you talk I’m gonna bend my knees.” Those words were to a song the old Saints used to sing. Here’s another one, “With Jesus on my side, things will work out fine. We’re gonna make it.” And here’s that famous line from the movie “The Color Purple!” “The very thing you done to me gonna come back to you!” Wow what powerful words of affirmation! You make look at them as being negative words, and be it as it may, but the power they possess still exists.

Israel’s enemies were talking trash about them. Calling them an Outcast. I can hear them now, “ya’ll ain’t nobody. You’ll up here talking about God is mighty but ya’ll out here broke, no food, and nowhere to live. Your children and wives are sick, and your men are weak. You live in Zion, the city in which God loves, but yet ya’ll are outsiders, recluse, cast aways and exiled. Doesn’t look to me like God loves you at all!”

In this scripture, Jeremiah is speaking the word of The Lord to the children of Israel saying; "Then the Lord told me to say to Israel and Judah: Screams of terror are heard,
 with no word of peace. 6 Can men give birth? Then why do I see them looking so pale
and clutching their stomachs like women in labor? 7 My people, soon you will suffer worse than ever before, but I will save you. 8 Now you are slaves of other nations, but I will break the chains and smash the yokes that keep you in slavery." Jeremiah 30: 5-8 (CEV).

What an awesome message to receive! A message of hope, freedom, restoration, and healing. God is concerned with those things that concern us. Psalm 138:8. He doesn’t want us walking around enslaved, sick, broken, and lost. Just as He took care of the children of Israel, we too are being taken care of by Him. As you go through day ten of your Daniel fast, look back over your life and thank Him for giving you the Big Payback, Life, Health, and Strength.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for giving me life, health, and strength. I thank You for taking care of my adversaries and giving me back everything the enemy took from me. I’m walking in complete restoration today because of Your Love for me! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
