HSM 40-Day Consecration – Day 25

MEDITATE:
Psalm 110:1 (KJV): "The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine
enemies thy footstool."
Daniel 7:13 (KJV): "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him."
PRAY: Jesus, we pray that you would open our hearts and minds to understand more of the cultural and historical contexts of your life, your death, and your resurrection. Help us to gain a greater understanding as we look at what it all meant for the world then and now.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE:
A few months ago, I came across a book called Full-Range Leadership Development which discusses a leadership development process that takes leaders on a journey beyond traditional leadership to the realm of Transformational Leadership. In this transformational state of being, the leader not only drives change but helps people blossom by nurturing relationships and fulfilling their personal and collective needs, and elevating them towards previously unimaginable accomplishments. God is elevating us to kingdom-minded transformational leaders, let’s discuss how.

God uses all of our experiences in His development of us to elevate us to new levels that others would not have thought possible. Consider the role of your enemy as discussed in Psalm 110:1. The enemy has a passionate intent to limit your capacity, but God requests that we sit (and rest) at His right hand while God leverages the anti-developmental intent of your enemy to actually promote you to your next stage in life.

How can we know this type of transformation with take place for us? Daniel referred to God as the Ancient of Days, meaning He is the righteous judge and ultimate decision-maker. Meaning, you lean into this time with God, trusting Him for your transformational process. Ask God to reveal the gifts within you that He has planted - relying on His omniscience (knowing everything) and omnipotence (executing what He knows). God is taking us somewhere, and I am ready for the transformational journey, how about you?

REFLECT: Consider the ways Jesus was challenging the leaders of the time. Consider the political and social consequences of his claims, and consider how his death and resurrection changed the world forever.
