MEDITATE: John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

PRAY: Lord, you are true to your word. You have always been faithful and you will continue to be faithful. Thank you for fulfilling every promise you made. You are trustworthy and good.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE:
One of the joys of waking up each day is knowing that God loves me.
Just think, John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son!” That’s Love. Love is an action word, and God shows His love for us every day. He gave His son, and His son, Jesus, gave His life. Can you imagine this, Jesus was beaten, He hung, He bled and He died – what a sacrifice!!! And He did it all for us sinners!! As written in Romans 5:8 - But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. God is faithful and just, He promised us Eternal Life with Him if only we will believe. God is a promise keeper. He will do just what He said He would do.

As we reflect on what God has done for us, are we willing to make sacrifices for others? Have you ever been called to make a sacrifice or keep a promise; maybe of your time, your space, or your finances? Nothing we do can ever compare to what God has already sacrificed for us, but sometimes we feel that we are giving up so much of ourselves. You may think to yourself, why did God make me this way; when I want to say no, God leads me to say Yes. We may also base the sacrifices we make for others on what they have done for us, or what they may be able to do for us in the future. However, John 3:16 shows us that God made this ultimate sacrifice all because He Loved Us! He loved us in our sin, he loves us when we don’t show love to one another. Let’s be faithful as God is faithful and put love in action, show love for our brothers and sisters, why not start today!

REFLECT: What does it mean for us today that these prophecies were fulfilled by Christ?
