HSM 40-Day Consecration Weekday Devotional

MEDITATE: Psalm 35:13
“But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom..”

PRAY: Lord, as I fast over these few weeks, may it be less about selfish gain and more about selfless worship. Help me to shift my focus away from myself and more toward you, Jesus.

DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE:
Good  morning  fellow  brothers  and  sisters  in  Christ.   A  simple  message  for  a necessary task during Holy  Season.   As  we  seek  God  and  deny  ourselves,  the  following thing came to mind regarding the F.A.S.T.

Forgetting myself and consecrating on the presence of the Lord because of what I want him to do for others through me.

Abstaining from my necessary food to bring my flesh under subjection, because, I want to hear a word from the Lord.

Sacrificing  worldly  carnal  desires  at  the  foot  of  the  cross,  because  I  know  that  less  of  me  will mean more of Him.

Together  as  a  body  of  Christ,  is  the  type  of  fast  that  breaks  enemy  strongholds  and  creates  an atmosphere for impactful worship.

REFLECT: What are you choosing to fast from? How is fasting helping you focus on Jesus?"
