“Nature’s Water”
Scripture: Psalm 65:10, NKJV

“You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth.”

Devotion:
Psalm 65:10 gives us a tender picture of God as a careful Gardener, tending the soil of the earth — and the soil of our hearts. He waters, He softens, He settles, He blesses. Nothing in this verse is rushed. Nothing is harsh. Everything God does is intentional, gentle, and life‑giving.

Sometimes our hearts feel like ridges — dry, cracked, and uneven. Sometimes life leaves furrows — deep places carved by pressure, disappointment, or waiting. But God doesn’t avoid those places. He moves toward them. He waters abundantly. He softens what has become hard. He settles what feels unsettled. And He blesses what is ready to grow.

This verse reminds us that spiritual growth is not something we force — it’s something God nurtures. His presence is the rain. His Word is the water. His Spirit is the softening. And His timing is the blessing. When God waters your life, dryness turns into fruitfulness. When He softens your heart, stubborn places become surrendered places. When He blesses your growth, what once struggled begins to flourish.

Today, let God water the places in you that feel dry. Let Him soften the areas that have become resistant. Let Him settle your anxious thoughts. He is not just the God who demands growth — He is the God who creates it.

Prayer:
Lord, water my heart today. Soften the places that have grown hard, settle the areas that feel unsettled, and bless the growth You are producing in me. I welcome Your gentle rain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
