“Our Strength in Weakness”
 Scripture: Philippians 4:13
 
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Devotion:
Philippians 4:13 is often thought of in times of ambition or when we face challenges. As we read the Scripture, we see that Paul wrote these words while imprisoned, where he learned how to live with both abundance and lack. Paul also learned that he had to depend on Christ.

This verse reminds us that our strength does not come from self-will, talent, or determination alone. The strength we receive in our weakness comes from Christ who works within us, giving us endurance when we are weary, peace when life feels uncertain, and courage when the road ahead seems impossible.

“I can do all things” does not mean we will avoid hardship or always succeed by the standards of this world. It means that whatever God allows us to face, He also provides the strength to endure it. Christ gives us the power to remain faithful, hopeful, and obedient, not only when we are celebrating the greatest victories or walking through scariest trials in our lives.

When we feel weak or overwhelmed, we must remember that Christ’s strength is not limited by our circumstances. Nothing is too hard for the Lord. We have to lean on Him and trust that His power is made perfect when we depend on Him. He will carry us through every season.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being our source of strength. When we feel weak and anxious, help us to rely totally on You. Teach us to trust You in every circumstance, knowing that through You, we are never alone or without Your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
