“Dwell in Him”
Scripture: 1 John 4:13

"Hearby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.”

Devotion:
The context of today’s Scripture is being able to identify God’s presence in us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It’s a blessing to know that God loved us enough not only to redeem us back to Him but also to place His Spirit inside of us to help us stay connected to Him. The gift of the Holy Spirit is not one to take lightly. The Holy Spirit allows us to fellowship and commune with God daily. He intercedes for us, and He helps us to remember and keep God’s Word. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live holy and produce the fruit of: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. If we want to see the fruit of the Spirit manifested in our lives, we have to be led by the Holy Spirit and not our flesh. We must abide in the presence of the Lord!

Prayer:
Lord, help us rely on the Holy Spirit daily to lead, guide, and order our steps in Your will. Help us seek You daily through prayer, studying Your Word, and through our worship. Amen.
