“Bosoms of Blessings”
Scripture: Luke 6:38

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

Devotion:
Jesus teaches us a powerful principle: generosity reflects the heart of God. In this passage, He invites us to live with open hands rather than tightly closed fists. Giving is not limited to money. We can give our time, encouragement, kindness, forgiveness, attention, and love.

The promise is not merely that God will repay us materially, but that He blesses a generous spirit. The image of a measure "pressed down, shaken together and running over" describes abundance. God is never stingy. When we mirror His generosity, we position ourselves to experience the richness of His grace in our lives.

At times, fear can make us hesitant to give. We worry that we may not have enough left for ourselves. Yet Jesus reminds us that God's resources are greater than our limitations. As we trust Him and bless others, He works in ways we often do not expect, filling our hearts with joy, peace, and contentment.

Application:
Ask yourself today:

• Who can I encourage with a kind word?
• Is there someone I need to forgive?
• How can I generously share my time, talents, or resources?
• Am I trusting God to provide as I give to others?

Choose one intentional act of generosity today and offer it as an act of worship to God.

Thought for Today:
A heart that gives freely often discovers that God's blessings are already overflowing.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your overflowing generosity toward me. Help me to reflect Your heart by giving freely and loving others as well. Remove any fear or selfishness that keeps me from being generous. Teach me to trust that You are my provider and that Your blessings are abundant. May my life be a channel of Your grace to those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
