“Living with Generosity and Wisdom”
Scripture: Psalm 112:5

“A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.”

Devotion:
Psalm 112 paints a picture of a person whose life is rooted in reverence for God. One of the defining characteristics of such a person is generosity. The psalmist reminds us that blessings follow those who freely share what God has entrusted to them and who live with integrity in all their dealings.

Generosity is more than giving money. It is a posture of the heart. It means being willing to share our time, encouragement, resources, and talents to help others. At the same time, the verse highlights wisdom and justice. God calls us not only to be kind but also to conduct our lives with honesty, fairness, and good judgment.

In a world that often encourages self-preservation and accumulation, God's Word invites us to trust Him enough to live open-handedly. When we do, we become channels of His blessings to others. As we faithfully manage what He has given us, we reflect His character and bring glory to His name.

Take a moment today to consider how you can be generous. Is there someone who needs your encouragement, help, or support? Ask God to show you one practical way to bless another person. Also, examine your decisions and actions, ensuring they reflect fairness, integrity, and compassion.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your abundant generosity toward me. Teach me to be generous with all that You have entrusted to my care. Help me to live with wisdom, integrity, and justice in every area of my life. Use me as a blessing to others today and help my actions reflect Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
