“Growing God’s Way”
Scripture: Matthew 13:32
 
“which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

Devotion:
Jesus used the parable of the mustard seed in this verse to show how the Kingdom of God often begins in ways that seem small and unnoticed ~ just as Jesus' earthly ministry and His early followers did. Yet we see that what started as a tiny seed grew into an extensive, worldwide Kingdom. Although the mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds, it grows into a large plant that provides shelter for the birds.

As children of God, we are called to spread the Gospel. Our Heavenly Father can use our humble acts of faith and obedience to accomplish extraordinary things for His glory. As we pray, we should ask God to lead and guide us into opportunities to share His Gospel and love with others. When we faithfully sow seeds of righteousness, love, and obedience, the Lord nurtures those seeds and causes them to grow according to His perfect purpose and plan. Every act of kindness, whether great or small, has the potential to produce lasting fruit for the Kingdom of God.

We are called to remain faithful regardless of how small our assignment may seem. Every moment spent in prayer, every verse of Scripture hidden in our hearts, every act of worship, and every choice we make to obey God's Word strengthens our relationship with Him. Over time, the Holy Spirit will transform our character so that we will reflect the image of Christ, and that tiny seed of faith will grow into a life that blesses others and brings glory to God.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for reminding me that You delight in using small beginnings to accomplish great things. Help me to remain faithful in every assignment You have given me, no matter how insignificant it may seem in my sight. Fill me the more with Your Holy Spirit and strengthen my faith to trust Your timing and Your process. Let my life continue to grow to be more like You so that I may be a blessing to others and bring glory and honor to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
