“Fruit Bearers”
Scripture: Romans 7:4, NIV

“So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.”

Devotion:
Jesus came to fulfill the law of God. He did what no one else could do. He crucified the flesh in the flesh and overcame the sting of death so that we could be redeemed back to God. Through the redemptive blood of our Savior, we have now been reborn and freed from sin and the penalty of the law. Thank God for His goodness and mercy toward us!

Salvation is often said to be free, but Jesus paid the price for us to be redeemed back to God. He didn’t just want us to be redeemed alone; He gave us all the Great Commission to go spread His message so others can receive the gift of salvation.

Today's Scripture teaches that our redemption means we are meant to bear fruit unto God. Good disciples become disciple makers. Good disciple makers advance God’s kingdom on earth and snatch back the territory the enemy has stolen. As children of God, we are in the fruit-bearing business, and the more we obey and submit to God, the greater His harvest.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for redeeming me back to You. Help me bear good fruit unto You and glorify Your name in all that I say and do. Help me boldly walk in Your purpose and plan for my life. Amen.
