“Trust God’s Plan”
Scripture: Romans 8:28
 
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Devotion:
Romans 8:28 reminds us of God’s sovereignty over every situation in our lives. Paul does not say that everything that happens to us is good, but he lets us know that God is able to work all things together for good to them that love Him and are the called according to His purpose.

There will be times in each of our lives when we will not understand why certain things are happening. Don't give up. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep believing. You may not see how God is going to work it out, but you can trust that He is working!  We may experience disappointments, closed doors, the untimely death of a loved one or other difficult trials. At those times, yes, we may find ourselves questioning God, however, the Word tells us to trust in God even when we cannot understand what He is doing. Remember that God is in control, and He is working all things together for our good and for His glory.

Our Heavenly Father can take situations that appear broken and use them for His purpose. He can use our trials to strengthen our faith, disappointments in this life to redirect our paths, and the challenges we face to make us spiritually stronger. What may look to us like a setback can actually become part of God's greater plan. Just know that His timing is perfect, even when it seems we are waiting too long, His purpose is greater than anything we can imagine, and His love never fails. Just wait and see!

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the assurance of Your Word that You are working all things together for good to them that love You and are the called according to Your purpose. When we become weary, please increase our faith and remind us that You are working on our behalf, even when we cannot see what You are doing behind the scenes. Help us to trust Your timing, remain steadfast in faith, and believe that You are always working for our good and for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
