“A Blameless Life”
Scripture: Psalm 101:2, NIV

“I will be careful to lead a blameless life–when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.”

Devotion:
In today’s Scripture, David is seeking God’s presence and making a personal commitment to God to be faithful to Him in his public and his private life. If we look at David’s life, we could say he doesn't appear to be a perfect or blameless man. However, I believe what made him a man after God’s own heart was the fact that he knew how to repent and seek God with his entire heart. David had a humble and repentant heart. He didn’t mind crying out to God in sorrow for his mistakes, praying and worshiping God in times of joy and pain, or glorifying God in radical praise.

How do we work to live a blameless life? We have to be integral in all that we say and do. The definition of integrity is often said to be what you do when no one is watching. I believe that is true. We can’t be holy on Sunday and unholy Monday-Saturday. Our daily lives should align with the Word and will of God. We know that even if no one else sees us, our omnipresent God is always watching us. How we carry ourselves on a day-to-day basis as kingdom ambassadors really matters. We don’t want to misrepresent our Father. If we make a mistake or fall short of the glory of God, He is faithful to forgive us if we humbly repent and seek His face. The beauty of our God is that He has given us His spirit to keep us aligned with His will and assignment for our lives. God is awesome!

Prayer: 
Lord, cleanse me from the inside out, crucify my flesh daily, and let Your Spirit alone lead and guide me. Amen.
