“Be Transformed by God’s Truth”
Scripture: Romans 12:2

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

Devotion:
The world continually pressures us to adopt its values, priorities, and way of thinking. However, Paul reminds believers in this Scripture that we are not called to blend in but to be transformed by God; and this transformation begins with the renewing of our minds. When we allow God's Word to shape our thoughts instead of the world's influence, our lives begin to reflect His character and His will – not the world’s.

Renewing our minds is a daily commitment, it is not a one-time exercise. The more we renew our minds by praying, studying the Word, worshipping God, and being submissive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, God changes the way we think, speak, and live. Our bad attitudes are replaced with Christlike attitudes; fear becomes faith, bitterness turns into forgiveness, pride into humility, and instead of being anxious, we can be peaceful, because the Word tells us in Philippians 4:7 to “be anxious for nothing.” So, the more our minds are renewed, the more our lives are transformed.

Paul also teaches us in this verse that a renewed mind will give us the ability to prove what is that "good, and acceptable, and perfect" will of God. When we surrender our hearts and minds to Him, we are able to understand the direction He is leading us, and we can walk confidently in obedience to Him instead of conforming to the standards of this world.
So let us surrender every area of our hearts to God, allowing Him to renew our minds and transform our lives so that everything we do brings glory to Him.

Prayer:
Father, we thank You for the transforming power of Your Word. Renew our minds daily so that our thoughts, attitudes, and desires align with Your will. Help us not to conform to the ways of this world, but to be led by Your Holy Spirit. Search our hearts, reveal anything that does not please You, and transform us into the likeness of Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen.
