“The Certainty of God’s Timing”
Scripture: Matthew 13:39, AMP

“And the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.”

Devotion:
In the parable of the wheat and the tares, Jesus reveals a powerful truth: God is fully aware of both the good seed He plants and the corruption the enemy tries to introduce. Nothing in this world escapes His knowledge or His control. The end of age is where everything hidden will be revealed, and God’s justice will be perfectly carried out. The enemy may sow confusion, temptation, and destruction, but he does not have the final word.

This passage encourages believers to remain steady and faithful. In a world where good and evil often seem to grow side by side, it can be tempting to lose heart or question whether God sees what is happening. But Jesus assures us that separation and judgment are in God’s hands, not ours.  The presence of evil is temporary, but the reign of God is eternal. Angels, not chaos, will carry out God’s final work of gathering. That means nothing is out of place in His timeline, and nothing will be overlooked in His justice. Today, remain faithful wheat – rooted in Christ, growing in His righteousness, and trusting Him with the outcome.

Prayer:
Lord, I know You are sovereign over all things, even in a world where good and evil grow together. Strengthen my trust in Your perfect timing and Your righteous judgment. Keep my heart from fear or discouragement, and help me focus on growing in truth and holiness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
