“The Mind Set on the Spirit”
Scripture: Romans 8:6

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Devotion:
Your mindset determines your harvest.

Paul draws a clear contrast: a mind governed by the flesh produces death—dryness, frustration, instability. But a mind governed by the Spirit produces life and peace. Not just emotion. Not just excitement. Life. Peace. Stability.

A Spirit-filled mind becomes fertile soil.

Whatever dominates your thinking will eventually shape your living. If your thoughts are constantly fed by fear, offense, comparison, or negativity, the fruit will reflect it. But when your mind is set—intentionally fixed—on the Spirit, something shifts. The soil of your heart softens. Seeds of the Word take root. Patience grows. Joy blossoms. Self-control strengthens.

Setting your mind on the Spirit is not accidental; it is deliberate. It means:

• Choosing worship over worry.
• Choosing obedience over impulse.
• Choosing gratitude over complaint.
• Choosing God’s perspective over your own.

Life and peace are not random gifts—they are the fruit of a surrendered mind.

If you want better fruit, cultivate better soil. Invite the Holy Spirit to govern your thoughts. Let Him redirect your reactions. Let Him filter what you meditate on.

A Spirit-filled life begins with a Spirit-set mind.

Prayer:
Holy Spirit, govern my thoughts. Make my mind fertile soil for Your Word. Produce life and peace in me so that my fruit reflects Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
