“Righteous Gifts”
Scripture: Romans 6:13

“Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”

Devotion:
As believers, God has entrusted each of us with gifts—our talents, abilities, time, and even our bodies. Romans 6:13 reminds us that these gifts are not meant for selfish gain or unrighteous purposes but are to be yielded to God for His glory. When we offer our lives and our resources as instruments of righteousness, our ordinary actions become extraordinary acts of worship.

Righteous gifts are not measured by size or recognition; they are measured by the heart behind them. Giving in love, serving with humility, and walking in obedience are all ways to present ourselves as living sacrifices. Each gift becomes a testimony of God’s transforming power in our lives, shining His light into the world around us. Today, examine your life. What gifts has God entrusted to you? Are you offering them for His kingdom, or are they still caught in the grip of self-interest? Remember, the gift of righteousness is not just for our benefit—it is for the building up of God’s kingdom and the blessing of others.

Prayer:
Lord God, Thank You for the gifts You have given me—my talents, my time, and my very life. Help me to yield them fully to You, not using them for selfish gain but as instruments of righteousness. Let every gift I offer bring honor to Your name and blessings to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
