“Using Our Gifts Faithfully”
Scripture: Romans 12:6, NIV

“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith.”

Devotion:
Paul reminds us that the body of Christ is beautifully diverse. Each believer has been entrusted with unique gifts, not earned but given by God’s grace. These gifts are meant to be exercised faithfully, not hidden or compared.

The emphasis here is on alignment—using our gifts “in accordance with our faith.” That means we don’t operate out of pride or fear, but out of trust in God. Whether our gift is teaching, serving, encouraging, giving, leading, or showing mercy, each one is vital to the health of the church. When we use our gifts faithfully, the body flourishes and God is glorified.

Application:

• Identify your gift: Reflect on what God has entrusted to you.
• Use it actively: Find one way today to exercise your gift in service.
• Encourage others: Celebrate the different gifts you see in your community.
• Stay aligned: Let faith, not fear, guide how you use your gift.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the grace that has given me unique gifts. Help me to recognize them, embrace them, and use them faithfully to serve others. Keep me from comparison or neglect and teach me to operate in alignment with Your Spirit. May my gifts bring light and encouragement to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
