“The Father’s Good Gifts”
Scripture: Matthew 7:11, NIV

“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”

Devotion:
Jesus uses a simple yet powerful comparison: even flawed human parents know how to bless their children. If that’s true, how much more will our perfect, loving Father give what is truly good to His children? This verse reminds us that God’s generosity far surpasses human kindness.

It also challenges us to trust His timing and His definition of “good.” Sometimes we ask for things that may not be best for us, but God, in His wisdom, provides what will nurture our faith and bring lasting joy. His gifts are not always material—they often come as peace, strength, guidance, or opportunities to grow.

Application:

• Ask boldly: Bring your needs and desires before God with faith.

• Trust His wisdom: Believe that His gifts are always good, even if they differ from your expectations.
• Practice gratitude: Write down three “good gifts” you’ve received from God recently.
• Reflect His generosity: Share kindness with others as a reflection of the Father’s love.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a giver of good gifts. Help me to trust Your heart when I ask, knowing You will provide what is best. Teach me to recognize Your blessings, even when they come in unexpected ways. May I live with gratitude and confidence in Your love today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
