“The Gift of His Son”
Scripture: Isaiah 9:6

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Devotion:
Isaiah’s prophetic words shine like a beacon through time, announcing the greatest gift God would ever give: His Son. The gift was intentional, purposeful, and deeply personal. “Unto us” means unto you, unto your family, unto every soul who longs for hope. In Jesus, every need of the human heart is met.

He is Wonderful—beyond comprehension, beyond comparison.
He is Counsellor—guiding us with wisdom when life grows confusing.
He is The Mighty God—able to save, protect, and deliver.
He is The Everlasting Father—faithful, unchanging, endlessly loving.
He is The Prince of Peace—bringing calm to troubled minds and rest to weary souls.

God didn’t give us a mere symbol; He gave us Himself wrapped in flesh. It grows more precious the more we unwrap its depth. Today, let the wonder of Christ’s coming stir your heart with gratitude. The gift of His Son is God’s declaration that you are loved beyond measure and never forgotten.

Prayer:
Lord God, Thank You for the priceless gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that unto us a Child was born and unto us a Son was given—Your perfect expression of love. This season and every season, remind me of the gift that changed everything. I receive Your love with a grateful heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
