“The Gift of Christ’s Coming”
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:7

“So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:”

Devotion:
God, in His abundant grace, equips His children with every spiritual gift necessary to live faithfully and victoriously. We are not lacking in any gift as we wait for Christ to return. The coming of Christ is not only our blessed hope—it is also our powerful motivation to walk in the fullness of what God has given us.

The gift of Christ’s coming is both a promise and a call. It is a promise that our Savior is returning for His people, bringing final redemption, perfect righteousness, and eternal joy. But it is also a call to readiness—using our gifts, serving faithfully, loving boldly, and standing firm in holiness. God has not left us empty-handed while we wait. Instead, He has filled us with His Spirit, empowered us with grace, and entrusted us with purpose. As we wait, we do not wait passively—we wait purposefully, strengthened by the gifts He has placed within us.

Prayer:
Lord God, Thank You for the precious promise of Christ’s coming. Thank You for equipping me with every gift I need to live for Your glory. As I await His return, may my life reflect His love, His power, and His truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
