“Seek God for Wisdom”
 Scripture: James 1:5
 
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
 
Devotion:
Life is full of moments when we simply don’t know what to do. Decisions, challenges, pressures, and uncertainties can leave us feeling overwhelmed or unsure. James 1:5 meets us right in that place, not with judgment, but with an invitation to seek God for wisdom.

Just as Solomon asked God for wisdom in 1 Kings 3, we must humble ourselves before the Lord and not pretend that we have it all together. We can be assured that God wants us to come to Him for guidance.  He is not annoyed by our questions. He’s not tired of our confusion. He is always ready and willing to give to us generously what we need; and He will give it to us without finding fault. God already knows the challenges we face in this life, and He delights in helping His children. Wisdom isn’t something we have to chase or perform for, it’s something He freely pours out when we ask. Not that He might or may pour out, but He will.

So, when life feels heavy and confusing, remember that we have a Father who loves to give wisdom just as freely as He gives grace. Trust Him!

Prayer:
Lord, we come to You today asking for wisdom. You see what we cannot see and know what lies ahead. Thank You for giving us wisdom generously and without finding fault. We ask that You guide our footsteps, calm our hearts, and help us trust You for direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
