“Investing Our Time Wisely”
Scripture: Proverbs 12:11

"He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding."

Devotion:
This verse acknowledges the value of working hard and staying focused. The “land” refers to what God has entrusted to us, our talents, our responsibilities, and our calling. When we commit to working on what we have been given, we will receive greatness. On the other hand, when we decide to chase and get distracted by unrealistic dreams, shortcuts, or empty pursuits, the Scripture says we are void of understanding. It’s a reminder for us to stay grounded in what is real and reachable, investing our time and energy wisely.

As followers of Christ, we should always be attentive to our relationship with Him.  It’s the consistent, patient and faithful efforts that we perform in our relationships, on our jobs and in our spiritual growth, not the “quick fixes,” that will bring us satisfying and quality results.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for giving us a mind to have faith in You. Help us to be continually faithful in the tasks You have given us, whether big or small. Give us the patience and perseverance to cultivate what You have blessed us with. May all that we do bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
