Daily Devotional - Times of Refreshing - WK31 - 7/30/25 - Day 211 - "Remain in Joy"

“Remain in Joy!”
Scripture: John 15:11

“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy
might be full.”

Devotion:
Today’s scriptural context lets us know Jesus is the true vine, and we as His followers are the branches. In order for us to grow and bear fruit, we must stay connected to Jesus. When we abide in Christ, receive the Word of God, and live a life of obedience to God’s plan, we receive the joy of the Lord. The joy of the Lord is unlike the joy or happiness we may experience on earth; the joy of the Lord is complete and everlasting. If you have ever experienced it, I am sure you can testify and say that it is nothing like it. God’s joy will have you smiling when the world says you should be crying. Even when pain fills your body, the Lord's joy will cause you to dance. The joy of the Lord is our strength! As long as we stay connected to the true and living vine, which is Jesus Christ, we can remain in His joy and be joyful.

Prayer:
Lord, help us stay connected to You. Help us remain in Your joy at all times by living a life that honors and obeys You. Amen.
