“Everything I Need!”
Scripture: Psalm 16:11 NKJV

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Devotion:
There’s a worship song with lyrics that says, “Jesus is here. Everything I need is here.” When reading this Scripture, I am reminded of that song. In God’s presence we have everything we could ever need, want, or hope for. Because of His presence, our joy is fulfilled. When our joy is fulfilled, we are strengthened, free, and ready to move at His Word. God is just like a parent who is guiding their child along in a store; they have the hand of their child, showing them the path they want them to take while in the store. The child is full of joy because they are with someone who they know cares for them and there’s the possibility they will get a treat if they are good. This is just like God Our Father. He walks with us and guides us hand in hand. Because of this, our trust is in Him and Him alone. He is able to grant us the desires of our heart because we are right there with Him. Everything we need is right here in His presence!

Prayer:
Jesus, we thank You for holding our hand as we walk through life. Your presence changes EVERYTHING! It’s in You that we experience a life fulfilled with joy. Continue to show us the path of life as we grow in our ability to trust You in all things. As long as You are here with us, everything we need is here as well. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
